Leather
Every piece of leather in our line of bags, packs and accessories comes from Swedish Tärnsjö Tannery.
We have chosen to work with Tärnsjö not only due to the superior quality hides that they produce, but also because they are one of the few tanneries left in the world that follow the tradition of vegetable tanning. They are also sourcing their bovine hides from local farmers.

Since leather is a natural material you will always find shiftings in colour and structure, which is something that we really appreciate and creates uniqueness in every product.

 

 

Waxed cotton canvas

Our bags and backpacks are all made of 18oz heavy waxed canvas which is both durable and highly water resistant.

The beauty of waxed cotton is its durability and longevity — it is built to last. The densely woven cotton is strong and reliable and unlike many alternatives, can be maintained by the end user.

We only use waxed canvas of finest quality from Great Britain and Scotland, countries with long traditions and great knowledge on waxed fabrics where experience have been passed on for generations and deliver products of amazing quality with a superior finish.

The companies we work with have over 150 years of expertise, and have amassed unique technical knowledge and manufacturing experience. They are specialized in waxed cotton and weatherproofed fabrics using responsibly sourced cotton and low impact manufacturing.

 

 

Felt

The felt that we use as padding in our backpacks and laptop/tablet cases comes from Woolpower in Östersund and is a by-product from the wool industry made of 100% pure Swedish sheeps wool. This felt has a great isolation ability and works as a strengthening and shock absorbing layer.

 

 

Hardware & zippers
Every piece of gear that we produce is equipped with high quality steel hardware with a matte black anodized finish and our solid hand set copper rivets create a permanent attachment making sure that all details stay in place for the lifetime of the product. 

The zipper is a very important component on a bag or backpack and is often the first thing that fails. To ensure a long and trouble free use we only use Japanese brass zippers from YKK in our gear. These zippers are known world wide for their smoothness, abrasion resistance and strength. 

 

 

Design and manufacturing
We are not a trend driven company. We work only in small batches with classic and natural materials creating dependable, functional and timeless gear.
We promote and protect Swedish craftsmanship and sewing skills, which is why all of our bags and accessories are designed and handmade in Sweden.
All of our leather accessories and details on bags and backpacks are cut, polished and waxed by hand in Jonsered and sent to our small factory in southern Sweden for assembly before they reach your hands.

 

Glove manufacturing
We always strive to manufacture our goods in Sweden but when it comes to glove manufacturing we have to look at other options as domestic glove manufacturing is a long lost skill.

Glove manufacturing require special skills, sewing machines and leather knowledge which unfortunatley can not be found in Sweden today due to outsourcing. This is why we have teamed up with the most skilled glove manufacturers on the planet that handle all our glove manufacturing today.

Our gloves are currently produced in ET and USA.
